FORECAST: Saturday, July 25th, 2020; Partly sunny and a little warmer

Happy Saturday, North Carolina! Partly to mostly sunny skies with highs slightly warmer in the upper 80s to low 90s across the state. The upper-level trough is still hanging out over the eastern part of the state as a result of it pushing east thunderstorm coverage will be slightly lower today. Scattered hit or miss showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening with the best coverage across Eastern and Southern NC, a few storms will also be possible across the Mountains and Foothills late morning through the afternoon. The main threat from storms that do develop is heavy rainfall, lightning, and gusty winds. The bottom line is, most will stay dry and partly sunny, but some will see storms. We can't predict exactly where they will develop, but we can get an idea that a few will develop the chance is about a 50% chance you see a storm at your house. A couple of storms could be severe with damaging winds.
