Temperatures turning even warmer across the state today. Happy Tuesday, North Carolina! Partly to mostly cloudy skies with more clouds than sun today, highs will be much warmer in the 70s to low 80s with 60s west. So it will definitely feel like late September; the high pressure that's brought us beautiful weather will also be moving away. So, a few isolated showers are possible, mainly this afternoon. The best area is across Eastern NC, but I can't rule out a few more across the mountains and elsewhere, although most of the state will stay dry.
After today, we will see an approaching cold front along with ample tropical moisture across the state. Periods of rain will be likely Wednesday-Friday, so enjoy the dry time you have today.
