Ugh, I wish I had an A+ day to report, but unfortunately, it will be more like a D- day with clouds and even a shower. Happy Tuesday, North Carolina! I'm tracking a weak system that will bring, you guessed it, more clouds and fog to the state this morning, followed by a few showers mainly across the south from the mountains to about Wilmington; the best timing for a few showers will be this morning through early afternoon. I have a 20% chance of rain for any given location across the state with slightly higher amounts in the south 30%; it will be pretty dry for most except for a few areas south of Raleigh and Greensboro that see a shower. I can't rule out some drizzle this morning elsewhere across the state, so overall not a nice morning. The afternoon looks slightly better, especially towards mid with clearing skies from west to east; I think the sun comes out west of Greensboro by early afternoon and could spread east through the afternoon. Highs will be in the 40s and 50s statewide.
