Another messy/ ugh day ahead with rain early for some, then fog and clouds, maybe some intervals of the sun for some. Happy Sunday, North Carolina! Our last round of rain for 3-4 days will finally clear out of the state this morning; the best chance of rain through mid-morning is mainly east of rain with some scattered showers. The rest of the state will be in the low clouds and fog through the mid-late morning and even early afternoon. By the afternoon, we should start to see the thining of the clouds across the west and expanding to the east through the afternoon; some intervals of the sun is possible. Widespread clearing is likely by sunset, with full sunshine returning for the start of the workweek. We're slowly out of the cad/wedge, but temperatures should not be very good today; highs will be in the 30s and 40s across the mountains with upper 40s and 50s for most of Foothills to about Raleigh and Greenville. Eastern/Coastal and Southeastern NC will see highs in the 60s. Today is the last day of cloudy weather; full sunshine returns Monday.
