March 17th, 2021 Forecast.

A transition day ahead between systems, not the best day, but little to no rain expected for most of the day. Happy Wednesday, North Carolina! Today will be a transition day; we will have some low clouds and fog this morning. Then it will be partly to mostly cloudy; some sun is definitely possible in some spots. I think most of the day should be dry; we could see some showers roll in across the mountains this afternoon and evening. The mountains have the best chance, but I can't completely rule out an isolated shower anywhere. Temperatures are tricky; if we have clearing, we should easily get into the 60s. I think the CAD (Cold AIr Damming will be slow to clear), so we should see highs in the 50s to low 60s and maybe some mid-60s based on the current thinking as guidance always struggles with CAD's. I'll have an update on the Severe Weather Threat for Thursday soon.
