Level 2/5 risk issued potential of strong to severe storms for some

Severe Weather Update: The risk of strong to severe storms will return this afternoon and evening across parts of the state. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 2/5 risk for the entire state, although the entire state will not see storms. Surface boundaries and the heating of the day will lead to the development of scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The coverage will be 30-40%, so hit or miss, any storms that develop will have the potential to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and isolated large hail. Stay weather aware through the afternoon and evening, especially across Central and parts of Western NC. Also, here's a look at some of the new graphics!
