I expect the front that moves through to move back north across the state as it slowly starts to wash out. I expect partly to mostly cloudy skies for most of the day, with slow clearing from west to east in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the 80s across the state, warmer mainly in areas that see more sunshine; the favored area is across the foothills. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible today; the best area to see some rain is mainly south and east of Raleigh along the coast. However, a few showers are possible elsewhere, passing by.
