Forecast Wednesday Dec 14th

Writer's picture: Ethan Clark Ethan Clark

Yup, the sunshine is gone, and the clouds are back for everyone. Happy Wednesday, North Carolina! A strong cold front will approach the state Thursday, but ahead of it, an area of low pressure will bring clouds and periods of rain. Scattered showers are possible today across the west, becoming more widespread by afternoon and evening. The best chance of rain will be west of Greensboro, but a few passing showers are possible east. All areas will see rain overnight it will spread from west to east, and some rain could be heavy at times. I expect mostly cloudy skies today; highs will be cooler in the 40s for Central and Western NC 50s east.
