FORECAST: TUESDAY JULY 14TH, ANOTHER HOT DAY AHEAD

Happy Tuesday, North Carolina! A "cold front" push through last night, I would not really call it one, but there was a wind shift, so it counts. The only thing you will notice is from Raleigh and Fayetteville west a little lower humidity today, but that only last for today. Sorry, folks to the east, no change. Today will be partly to mostly sunny with highs in the 90s across the state, 80s along the Outer Banks, and in the mountains. Heat index values in the upper 90s for Eastern NC. The majority of the state will stay dry today, about 99%, but a few isolated start storms could develop this afternoon and evening, mainly to the east of Raleigh. Again only about 1% will see a shower so likely one storm will develop. The 90s are here to stay for the rest of the week, highs will be in the low-mid 90s with a heat index near the upper 90s.
