Forecast Thursday, August 11th, 2022: A more active day ahead, some storms possible

A little more active period of weather ahead today as a cold front moves in. Happy Thursday, North Carolina! Partly sunny skies are expected with more clouds around as a cold front starts to move in. It will not be the lower humidity front that will follow tomorrow. I expect showers to be around this morning, especially west, with storms possible everywhere this afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the 80s west and low to some mid-90s across the east; storms could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Lower humidity is still expected this weekend.
