Friday will be a world of difference with highs crashing in the 70s for most, so just hang on one more day before some real fall weather arrives. For the first time in over a week, there's a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm today. Coverage will be about 30-40%; it will not be much and not amount to much, but I can't rule out a few showers or thunderstorms this afternoon, especially across Central and Eastern parts of the state; an isolated storm could be severe with damaging winds.
