A hotter day is ahead for many, but some will see thunderstorms. Happy Monday, North Carolina! High pressure will start to build in, but some lift this morning will lead to the potential of showers and thunderstorms across the coast this morning, especially across the SE coast. The storms will die after lunch across parts of Eastern and Coastal NC, then western NC will see some showers and thunderstorms this evening. I expect partly sunny skies statewide with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s.
