Transition Day ahead across the state. Happy Friday, North Carolina! A strong cold front will march across the state today, temperatures will vary largely from Western NC to Eastern NC highs across the west will be in the 30s and 40s while from Raleigh east in the 50s to even low 60s along the coast, everyone will be in the 40s and 50s for Saturday as a much colder air mass moves in. Partly cloudy skies possible Raleigh east with mostly cloudy to the west spreading to the east through the late morning. A line of showers will move quickly across the state from west in the morning to east by the early afternoon. Yes, more rain, but thankfully, most areas should be done within an hour as the rain will be quick moving. Gusty winds 15-30MPH, likely all day long.
