A decent start to the weekend will give way to clouds and, yep, more rain. Happy Saturday, North Carolina! Skies will be start off partly sunny, maybe mostly sunny in spots, then it will quickly become partly to mostly cloudy by the afternoon across the state. If you have outdoor plans today, I would try to do them earlier than later. Rain chances will increase quickly late this afternoon and evening, so have the rain gear ready. We are also tracking the potential for winter weather; I'll have a new update on that in about an hour or two regarding the forecast tonight. Highs will be in the 40s to low 50s throughout the state.
