The nice weather we had the past few days will be history today as clouds and rain return to the forecast. Happy Friday, North Carolina! Rain will move in with a low-pressure system, but not everyone will see widespread rain; in fact, some areas from Raleigh east will only see a few scattered showers. Rain will be widespread west this morning and will expand to the east through the afternoon, so if it's not raining this morning and you have outdoor things to do, I would do it this morning; most areas should see rain today at some point, many to the west for most of the day. Highs will be chilly in the 30s and 40s, with 50s for Eastern and Coastal NC.
