Rain gear needed today, clouds and rain return. Happy Monday, North Carolina! We will have a cold front passing through the state that will bring rain to the state, scattered showers likely on and off through most of the day. As the cold front moves through, temperatures will drop through the mid-late afternoon from west to east. So highs will be in the late morning to early afternoon for most in the 40s and 50s with 60s east, the rain will clear west to east through the late afternoon into the evening rain will take longer across eastern NC. The entire state will be dry and sunny for Tuesday.
