🌀 Tropical Update: All signs continue to point that the rest in the tropics is about to come to an end after Labor Day weekend, which is very much right on track. On Thursday morning, the National Hurricane Center was monitoring a tropical wave over the central Tropical Atlantic, producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. They now give it a 40% chance of becoming a tropical system in the next 7 days; that number will continue to increase. I think a Tropical Depression or Storm could form in that area next week; interests in the Eastern Caribbean should monitor the progress of this system.
It is too soon to know what, if anything, will happen to this system regarding areas deep in the Caribbean and if any US impacts ever happen. In image two, you can see the average time it takes a system to get from where it is now to the United States, which is 8-12 days on average. We have tons of time to watch it; the system has not even developed. Please do not fall for hype; like always, I'll be watching the system closely over the coming days.
