Another round of severe storms will be possible this afternoon and evening

Severe Weather Update: Once again today, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 2/5 risk of Severe weather for most of the state. As with yesterday, not everyone will see storms but the ones that do could be severe. Surface boundaries and the heating of the day will lead to the development of scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The coverage will be 30-40%, so hit or miss, any storms that develop will have the potential to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and isolated large hail. Stay weather aware through the afternoon and evening, especially across Central and parts of Western NC. Pretty much exactly the same as yesterday.
