A cold front approaching a wide range in temps likely for Wednesday.
A much different look and feel ahead for everyone today across the state. Happy Wednesday, North Carolina! The cold front we've been talking about will stall over western NC today, which will create a wedge or what is also known as Cold Air damming to set up from Greensboro west. So areas of drizzle and light rain possible on and off throughout the day across the foothills and mountains. Further to the east, it will start out partly sunny and then become mostly cloudy with a few showers possible this afternoon and evening, but most will stay dry.
Temperatures will be wide-ranging today in the 40s and 50s west in the wedge with 60s and even low 70s east and south today.
