Today will be much different than the past few days, mostly cloudy this morning then showers and thunderstorms likely by mid-morning from the red line west. It appears for Central NC, Raleigh, Fayetteville, and Rocky Mount areas that the showers and thunderstorms will hold off until to mid-afternoon. Eastern NC to the coast the day actually looks pretty nice with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 80s, showers, and thunderstorms possible tonight. Additionally, a few storms may become strong Central-Western Parts of the state. If you have outdoor plans this afternoon and evening from I95 west into the mountains keep the rain gear handy!
