Weather Headlines week of March 30th: Spring Weather ahead!

Weather Headlines this week, spring is in full force! We will continue our warming trend this week; highs will be in the 70s and 80s for most of the state through Sunday, with cooler temperatures along the beaches and in the mountains.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry, with partly to mostly sunny skies, and increased fire danger will remain.

Thursday onward: Humidity will increase, and thanks to warm temperatures each afternoon, a couple of hit-or-miss scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible, mainly in the afternoon and evening. It won't be a soaking rain, and it's a very typical summertime pattern where some see a storm and others see nothing each day. So it won't help much with the drought, but the overall increase in moisture outside could help reduce some of the fire danger.

Sunday, a cold front approaches and could bring some showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening. We will watch if any strong to severe storm chances, but right now it seems low will see if it trends that way later this week. This cold front does not seem to have much moisture to work with, but even a little rain at this point would be helpful.

Wildfire risk will remain until further notice. Feel free to pass along any photos or reports you have from any of the fires. I'll continue to update on as many as possible over the coming days!
