Happy Birthday America, a great independence day ahead across the state. Happy 4th of July, North Carolina! I expect partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s across the state. It will be a great day for outside activities; there will be a few storms this afternoon and evening, but I don't expect too many plans to be impacted, and most fireworks should be a go.
