On Friday, near-record high temperatures are expected ahead of a cold front. We will finally have a limited chance of rain Friday evening into the overnight hours as a cold front moves in; a couple of scattered showers, or even a thunderstorm with gusty winds, will be possible.
I am not expecting everyone to get rain; it'll be scattered, but I included a couple of future radar models below to show you the front's progress. It'll turn much colder for the weekend with highs back in the 50s and 60s for most of the state
