While Winter retuned this weekend, warmer and mild weather is moving back in for the work week. Monday will be mostly cloudy cool and rainy state wide, the rain will not be heavy just passing showers and cloudy. Temperatures will be cold with highs in the 40s and 50s warmest in southwestern NC where a warm front will move through. Tuesday an approaching cold front will bring moderate to heavy rain, warmer temperatures are expected with upper 60s and 70s in Central and eastern NC. Triad and western NC will see 50s and 60s. Wednesday and Thursday will be dry with highs in the 60s and upper 50s, Friday another cold front will approach from the west bringing another round of rain and cooler temperatures for the weekend. 2-3" of rain is expected this week, due to the dry conditions not expecting any flooding.
